All talents have a flip side. When a strength is overused or applied at the wrong time, it can turn into the opposite of its intended purpose. It can become a source of dysfunctional behaviour, conflicts, and ineffective leadership.
Shadow sides are not flaws in the talent. They are what happens when a talent is not understood. And they are often invisible to the individual possessing them. This is precisely why it is so crucial to be able to identify them if you work professionally with the development of others.
